Reclaiming Subcommittee
The Reclaiming Subcommittee was created for the purpose of researching and proposing potential strategies for attracting more Black Catholic members to the parish and providing actionable insights that can drive greater engagement among our Black parishioners while fostering meaningful involvement and collaboration with our allies from diverse racial backgrounds.
The overarching goal is to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of Saint Columba Parish, ensuring it continues to thrive as a vibrant, inclusive, and unified community.
The report provides an analysis of how Saint Columba Parish can better project our values and cultural relevance to the Black community without losing the parish’s core identity—that is, “Who and Whose We Are!” From the subcommittee’s analysis the following recommendation was developed.
